Supporting Students with Disability in VET (Staff)
Staff communication, interactions, and responses can make a positive difference to the experience and outcomes of students with disability. Building staff knowledge and confidence in supporting students with disability throughout their VET journey helps create a more inclusive learning environment that supports successful participation and completion.
Overview of Program
This program is designed for all staff who work in the VET sector, and focuses on promoting awareness about the rights of students with disability, the needs and requirements of students, and responsibilities of registered training organisations (RTOs).
This program consists of three modules which you can work through at your own pace. You do not need to complete it in one sitting and you can log out and log back in at any time. All three modules will take approximately (45-60 – TBC) minutes to complete. A short quiz after each module is a tool for you to use to check your understanding. A certificate of achievement is awarded upon successful completion of all three modules.
